Tropical Christmas with papaya, mango vinegar and prosciutto
This will get you off to a great start!
Ingredients per person
2 slices Prosciutto San Daniele
quarter of a pear
handful of diced papaya
tablespoon crumbled gorgonzola
2 tablespoons mango vinegar
extra virgin olive oil
lime juice
couple of small mint leaves
HOW TO
Dry the ham slices for about 1 hour in the oven at 110 Celsius and drain on paper towels.
Cut the pear into nice slices, place on a plate and drizzle with lime juice.
Cut the papaya into small cubes and soak in the mango vinegar for about 10 minutes.
Sprinkle the diced papaya over the pear and then the crumbled gorgonzola.
Make small pieces out of 1 slice of ham and sprinkle it over the rest. You can break the other slice of ham into 2 pieces lengthwise and place it nicely over the dish.
Finish with a few drops of extra virgin olive oil and some small mint leaves.
NO CHRISTMAS STRESS WITH THIS RECIPE....
You can use other types of ham for this dish, as long as it is raw ham. You can also replace the gorgonzola with another kind of blue cheese. So no Christmas stress if something is not exactly there ;)
